🔒 TL;DR — The Short Version

We don't know who you are when you post or search
We never sell your data to anyone, ever
We don't require a real name or phone number
You can delete your account and all data anytime

What We Collect

When you use CheatChat:

• Email address (only if you create an account)

• City/region (optional, for local feed filtering)

• Device type and browser (anonymized analytics)

• IP address (stored hashed, for fraud prevention only, deleted after 30 days)

We do NOT collect: your real name, phone number, photo, or precise location.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

• Provide the CheatChat service

• Send you notifications you've opted into

• Detect fraud and abuse

• Improve our platform (via anonymized analytics)

We never use your data for advertising profiling.

Anonymous Posts & Searches

All posts are submitted anonymously. All searches are anonymous. We do not log which user performed which search. We do not link search queries to user accounts. Even our own engineers cannot determine who posted what.

Third-Party Services

We use:

• Stripe for payment processing (they handle all card data — we never see your card number)

• Cloudflare for DDoS protection

• Anonymous analytics (no cookies, no fingerprinting)

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or any ad-network tracking.

Data Retention

Account data: retained until you delete your account. Posts: retained until removed by moderation or your dispute is upheld. Search logs: never stored linked to a user. Payment records: retained 7 years as required by law.

Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access your data (request at privacy@cheatchat.app)

• Delete your data (in-app, or email us)

• Correct inaccurate data

• Opt out of any communications

• Data portability (export your data)

We respond to all privacy requests within 30 days.

Children

CheatChat is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact safety@cheatchat.app immediately and we will delete the account.
